Batesville Commerce Park
In the 1980s, The Batesville Redevelopment Commission purchased 80 acres of farmland south of the city to create the Batesville Commerce Park. 30 parcels of varying acreage were created to give businesses the opportunity and space to expand. To provide better access to the park, the entrance-road at Lammers Pike was widened to accommodate trucks and the flow of traffic. Today, all thirty parcels have been sold, and a wide range of industries — including service, manufacturing and logistics business — can call Batesville their home.
Batesville Industrial Park
In the early 2000s, an additional 74 acres further south of the city were purchased to grow the city’s economic footprint. The entrance road was repaved and widened to accommodate trucks and increased traffic into the park. The park was split into five sizable parcels, intended for larger businesses seeking more space for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. To help businesses accelerate their development, a strategic decision was made to construct a shell building on one of the parcels. In 2022, IKIO LED Lighting joined our community by purchasing the 50,400-square-foot building.
Water Expansion
This large-scale project completed in 2021 included a new well field, a raw water main, and a new treatment facility to set Batesville up for the next 100 years. To complete it, The City of Batesville purchased 100 acres to construct a 16-mile route of a 20-inch supply line from the Whitewater River Valley Outwash Aquifer System and Subsystem to a treatment facility located in the Batesville Commerce Park.
