We might be a growing city, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten what originally brought settlers to Batesville in the first place – our groves of oak, poplar and walnut trees. We’re proud to preserve the city’s balance with nature with our well-maintained parks, golf courses, and forested trails. And we’re adding new trails all the time, so whether you’re a casual stroller or a BMX enthusiast, you’ll find a new trail and a new part of Batesville to discover. We also have sports and recreational facilities perfect for the whole family. Our very own Batesville Beautification League is dedicated to making our city appealing and welcoming to both residents and visitors by enhancing the beauty and vibrancy throughout our community.

Golf
Whether you’re a pro looking to stay sharp or an amateur learning the sticks, the Batesville area boasts several exceptional golf courses for your enjoyment.
Fishing

YMCA
The largest in Southeast Indiana, the Batesville YMCA has something for everyone in the family, all under one roof. From classes for all ages, daycare, and 24-hour fitness, to basketball and pickleball courts, like the song says, “you’ll find many ways to have a good time.”
Memorial Pool
For nearly 80 years, the Memorial Pool has been open to the public and a place of play for three generations of Batesville families. Practice your diving form in our 13-foot deep diving pool and enjoy our splash pad with exciting water sprays and hidden geysers. If you’re looking to get the basics down, we also offer swimming lessons for all ages.

Hillcrest Golf and Country Club
Hillcrest Golf and Country Club is a members-only club but is open to the public on certain days. In addition to world-class golf, it boasts tennis, and swim facilities as well as fine dining and virtual golf.
North Branch Golf Course
Not far from Batesville, North Branch Golf Course offers challenging play for golfers at every skill level and every age. The well-groomed fairways and greens keep the 27-hole golf course difficult yet friendly for your regular rounds of golf or a new destination for you and friends.

This state-of-the-art baseball and softball facility can run 7 games concurrently, with field dimensions for every level of play.

Batesville Area Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure
The new 11,000 sq. ft. skatepark has everything you need to practice your Ollies, Stalls, and 360 Flips. All you need is the wheels. Safety equipment is required.
