Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary
In 2026, Batesville won’t just celebrate the Fourth of July — we’ll celebrate 250 years of the American story. From mid-May through Independence Day, our entire community will come alive with patriotic artwork, local history, service projects, movies, music, and activities designed to bring neighbors together. Then on July 3–4, the celebration shifts into high gear with live entertainment, family fun, a downtown parade, a community picnic, and a fireworks show at The Plex built for everyone to enjoy.
This isn’t a one-day event. It’s a citywide, multi-week celebration of heritage, service, and small-town pride — powered by local students, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers. Whether you’re lacing up for the Four on the Fourth, lining the streets for the parade, exploring Revolutionary War history across Ripley County, or spreading out a blanket for fireworks under the summer sky, there’s a place for you in Batesville’s America 250 celebration.
