Part commercial kitchen, part classroom and meeting space, The Galley supports local food entrepreneurs and businesses, enabling them to grow and prosper by hosting cooking classes, monthly pop-up restaurants, small gatherings of all types, and more.
The Galley’s mission is to provide a certified, commercial-grade kitchen and food staging area that supports local food entrepreneurs and businesses, enabling them to grow and prosper. In addition, they strive to create a collaborative environment that keeps fresh, locally grown food local, contributes to food innovation, and improves community health and social wellness.
In early 2020, John and Joan Kuhlman and their team took an empty building in downtown Batesville and started construction to build out a place where the greater Batesville community could gather, cook, and even learn together.
In this maker space kitchen concept, you’ll network with other chefs, food producers, caterers, bakers, cheese makers, and other like-minded professionals. You’ll be able to make business connections, exchange ideas, and increase your customer base. The Galley also provides a meeting space, ready to host any gathering of up to forty people. Whether you bake muffins, have a food truck, or catering business, The Galley has commercial-grade equipment to meet all your needs.
