Construction has begun on the interior and exterior of the structure formerly known as the Shell Building and should be completed by next summer. Part of the building will be for offices and the remaining space will be used for the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution of products produced by IKIO.
Currently, the company has six manufacturing plants and a combined manufacturing capacity of 10 million fixtures annually.
IKIO LED Lighting, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a leading US-based manufacturer of LED Lighting Solutions for Commercial, Industrial, Horticulture, Multi-family Residential/Hospitality, Hazardous Location, and Solar Outdoor Lighting applications.
This announcement is the most recent example of the ongoing wave of interest in investment and development in and around Batesville, Indiana. The addition of IKIO is due in part to the hard work and dedication of the Batesville Redevelopment Commission. There are four additional sites in the Batesville Industrial Park available for development.
We at IKIO are very excited for this next chapter in our organization’s growth as we start manufacturing our products in the United States,” said Singh. “We are thankful to the City of Batesville and all the other parties that made this project possible. We certainly look forward to growing the relationship.”
