A full day of fun capped off with spectacular fireworks display!
PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
With a large crowd expected at The Plex for the fireworks, parking near the venue will fill up quickly.
Thanks to Batesville Community School Corporation, free shuttle service will run between the public parking lot across from Weigel Funeral Home on George Street and The Plex throughout the evening to help guests travel more easily between festivities.
Please remember that if you use the BCSC bus, you will have to place your cooler in the underfloor storage area during the ride.
We strongly encourage you to arrive early, settle in, and enjoy the live music, food, and festivities while you wait for the fireworks to begin.
Carry-Out Picnic
We encourage everyone to pack a cooler, spread out a blanket, enjoy a picnic, and celebrate with family and friends at The Plex.
If you don’t want to pack a picnic yourself, several Batesville restaurants will be offering special family picnic boxes and carry-out packages that you can grab and bring right to the festivities.
Support our local restaurants by ordering ahead and then picking up dinner and enjoying an evening of music, activities, and fireworks.

Bouldering Wall Grand Opening
When: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Where: Batesville Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure
Be among the first to experience Batesville’s newest outdoor adventure attraction at the grand opening of the new Bouldering Wall! Whether you’re an experienced climber or trying bouldering for the very first time, this exciting community event offers something for all ages and skill levels.
Join us at the Batesville Skate Park and Outdoor Adventure Area for an evening of climbing, friendly competition, and outdoor fun. Participants can test their skills on a variety of climbing routes, take on climbing challenges for prizes, enjoy games and activities, and connect with local vendors throughout the event.
No experience is necessary—just bring your sense of adventure and give it a try!

Live Music
When: 4:00 PM until the fireworks light up the sky!
Where: The Plex — Main Stage
The party starts early on July 3rd! We’re lining up a fantastic roster of live music that will keep the energy going all evening long — from late afternoon straight through until the fireworks take over at approximately 9:45 PM. Grab your lawn chairs, bring your blankets, settle in, and let the music set the mood for one unforgettable night under the stars.

Lilly Anne Reding (4pm-5pm)
Lilly Anne Reding is a young local musician from Batesville who sings and plays guitar, with a love for country music and a growing passion for performing. She began playing guitar at age nine and is excited to share her talent with the community as part of Batesville's Fourth of July celebration.

Lone Wolf and Friends (5:30pm-7:00pm)
Lone Wolf and Friends is a local group featuring a mix of country, classic rock, and acoustic favorites. Known for their laid-back style and crowd-friendly performances, they bring a variety of familiar songs that audiences of all ages can enjoy.

Lincoln Street Band (8pm-unil fireworks begin)
Lincoln Street Band is a local group known for performing classic rock hits, with a focus on 70s and 80s music. They bring a high-energy performance style and are a familiar act in the area.
Mayor's Colonial Patriotic Costume Contest
When: 7:00 PM
Where: The Plex — Main Stage
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday by dressing the part and showing your patriotic spirit at the Mayor’s Colonial Patriotic Costume Contest! Whether you choose a colonial or historical costume, or simply wear your best red, white, and blue attire, this contest is a fun way to honor our nation’s heritage and join in the Fourth of July festivities.
The contest is sponsored by Mayor John Irrgang and Janna Irrgang and is open to participants of all ages. There is no entry fee, and cash prizes will be awarded.

As an added bonus, costume contest participants will have the opportunity to ride on a special costume contest float in the Fourth of July Parade the following morning.

Kids' Activities

Where: Near the playground at The Plex
Bring the whole family to the YMCA Kid Zone for an evening packed with games, activities, and patriotic fun! Designed for children of all ages, the Kid Zone offers a variety of hands-on activities that will keep young visitors entertained throughout the evening while families enjoy the Fourth of July celebration.
Kids can test their skills at festive game stations, earn prize tickets, create patriotic artwork, enjoy temporary tattoos and face painting, and take part in interactive activities throughout the area. From exciting challenges to creative crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Batesville Youth Baseball/Softball Championship Night
When: 6:30pm
Where: The Plex – fields 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7
Love baseball? Pull up a lawn chair and take in some great local competition! The Batesville rec league will be wrapping up their season with championship games on July 3rd — with up to five games happening simultaneously, there’s plenty of action to watch.
It’s free to come cheer, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy America’s favorite pastime as part of our Fourth of July weekend celebration!

Disc Golf — Come Give It a Try!
When: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: The Plex
Join local disc golf enthusiasts for a fun and interactive disc golf experience at The Plex. Visitors can stop by the disc golf booth to learn more about the sport, browse discs and gear available for purchase, and participate in a free disc golf putting challenge.
The putting challenge is open to all ages and skill levels, requires no registration, and offers a fun activity for families and friends while enjoying the Fourth of July festivities before the fireworks show.

For the past two years, our community surveys told us loud and clear that you wanted a fireworks experience that everyone could enjoy equally. This year, we’re delivering exactly that. We’ve made the decision to move the fireworks display to The Plex — meaning no more searching for a viewing spot, no more feeling like you’re on the wrong side of the fence. Just a wide open space where every family in Batesville gets an equally spectacular view of the show.
This is your fireworks display, Batesville. Come enjoy it!
One important thing to know: The Plex will fill up fast. With a crowd this big and a show this good, you’ll want to arrive well before 9:45 PM to find your spot. We strongly encourage arriving early — bring your lawn chairs, spread out your blankets, enjoy the live music, grab some food, and make a whole evening of it.
