Here’s a happy coincidence — this year, the Fourth of July falls on a Saturday, which means Batesville’s beloved weekly Farmers Market will be in full swing on the morning of the holiday! Before the parade kicks off, head downtown and browse fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and other locally made products while supporting area vendors and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Whether you’re shopping, meeting friends, or simply enjoying a summer morning downtown, the Farmers Market is the perfect way to start your Fourth of July celebration in Batesville.

4th of July Parade
When: 10:00 AM
Where: Downtown Batesville
One of Batesville’s most beloved traditions is back! Join us on July 4 as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a community parade filled with patriotic spirit, local organizations, businesses, families, and neighbors.
Want to participate? You don’t need a fancy float to join the fun. Walk in a patriotic costume, ride your bike or golf cart, push a stroller, walk your dog, or gather your club, sports team, business, or organization and join the parade.
Parade lineup begins at 9:15 AM on Columbus Avenue, between Batesville Intermediate School and the youth football fields/St. John’s Cemetery. The parade route is approximately 1.2 miles and concludes at Liberty Park.
Participants are encouraged to review the Parade & Liberty Park Information Guide for important details regarding lineup procedures, vehicle access, parking, and parade-day logistics.

After the Parade
When: immediately following the parade until approximately 12:30 PM
Where: Liberty Park
The celebration continues at Liberty Park right after the parade — but we’ve designed this year’s post-parade activities with your family in mind. Rather than a long afternoon program, we’re keeping things warm, festive, and relaxed so you can enjoy some quality time together before heading home to fire up the grill and celebrate the rest of the day your way!
Here’s what’s waiting for you at Liberty Park:
The Eureka Band will be playing live as you arrive — the perfect soundtrack to a perfect morning! One of the oldest bands in the state of Indiana, the Eureka Band is a Batesville tradition, and we’re thrilled they’re kicking off their summer season right here with us on the Fourth.
Free Community Picnic — hot dogs, snacks, and good company, all on us. Come hungry!
Plan to enjoy the festivities until around 12:00 or 12:30, then head home and make the rest of the day your own.
Happy Fourth of July, Batesville — you’ve earned it!
