Please Leave Your Pets at Home
We love your furry family members — but the evening of July 3rd is not the night to bring them out!
Large crowds, loud music, and fireworks are a stressful combination for even the most easy-going pets.
The kindest thing you can do for your four-legged friends is leave them safe, comfortable, and relaxed at home while you enjoy the festivities.
Be a Good Neighbor
Batesville is a tight-knit community and that’s exactly what makes events like this so special. As crowds of people make their way through our neighborhoods on the evening of July 3rd, we ask that everyone be respectful of the people who live and work along the way.
A few simple reminders:
- If you’re walking from downtown to The Plex or Liberty Park, please stay on sidewalks and respect private yards and personal property along the route
- When looking for a fireworks viewing spot, please do not trespass on private property — no view is worth that
- Do not park in someone’s yard, driveway, or in a way that blocks access to their home
The people who live near the festivities are our neighbors — let’s make sure they feel that way. Thank you for helping keep Batesville a community we’re all proud of!
A note about leaving after the fireworks
However you get there, please build some patience into your exit plan!
If you parked at The Plex or Liberty Park, expect some time to get out of the lot.
If you parked downtown, expect a short wait for the shuttle. It’s the price of a great show — and it’s worth it!
